As Truth and Reconciliation week begins tomorrow our students will build on their understanding regarding the challenges and injustices both historical and current, that Indigenous Peoples in Canada face every day. Understanding the stories of the Indigenous people allows students to become part of the reconciliation process as they learn about the truths, history and legacy of Residential Schools and recognize Every Child Matters.
